Who We are
When people hear the words Orthodox Christian, a common response is: “You mean Russian? Greek? Serbian? While those countries are predominantly filled with Orthodox Christians, being of an ethnicity does not matter because the Gospel is meant for all peoples and all nations. There is no difference theologically between Orthodox Greeks or Russians or Serbians, we are all of the same body and Church. Every Orthodox Parish is a unique icon of God’s Kingdom on Earth made up of peoples of all nations. Our parish is made up of Orthodox Christians from Serbian, Romanian, Russian decent, etc., but also American converts from various backgrounds. At Saint Nikolai’s we raise up our voices in unison to the Triune God, calling down God’s grace, in order to make our parish community a truly transformative one.
